On June 13, Xiaomi Auto conducted a live-streamed test session at the Yancheng test track for the YU7 Standard and YU7 GT models. The results showed that the YU7 Standard achieved a top speed of 225 km/h, while the YU7 GT reached an impressive top speed of 304 km/h. The YU7 GT successfully completed 50 consecutive emergency braking tests from 100 km/h to 0, eight consecutive stops from 200 km/h to 0, and one extreme braking test from 300 km/h to 0. Meanwhile, the YU7 Standard underwent cross-axis testing and evaluations of multiple advanced safety assistance features, including Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Automatic Emergency Steering (AES). Xiaomi stated that these tests are part of its routine development and validation process and expressed gratitude to test drivers Zhou Xiaolong, Geng Rui, Huang Fuping, and Cao Zhenxing for their participation. Lei Jun, founder of Xiaomi, reminded users that driver-assistance features cannot replace the driver’s own observation and judgment, emphasizing the importance of staying attentive and complying with traffic regulations while driving.
