ORA Auto officially announced that its new ORA 7 is "on the way," confirming it as Great Wall Motor's first shooting brake model. The vehicle has appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) 408th batch of the “Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products,” listed under new product disclosures, and will be produced by Spotlight Automotive Co., Ltd. in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province. The ORA 7 is positioned as a midsize all-electric sedan, with dimensions of 4,820 mm in length, 1,850/1,870 mm in width, and 1,520 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,870 mm. It seats five passengers, has a curb weight of 1,850 kg, and a gross vehicle weight of 2,250 kg. Powering the vehicle is a QT36TZ220001 electric motor manufactured by Bee Transmission Technology (Pizhou) Co., Ltd., delivering a maximum output of 160 kW and a top speed of 180 km/h. The car uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells supplied by SVOLT Energy and comes equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS). It offers an optional ETC onboard unit and includes a standard Event Data Recorder (EDR) system.
