The 2026 Beijing Hyundai Sonata has officially launched, offering four trim levels with two powertrain options: a 1.5T and a 2.0T engine. Prices range from RMB 139,800 to RMB 173,800. The lineup includes the 1.5T Air (RMB 139,800), 1.5T Pro (RMB 149,800), 2.0T N Line Air (RMB 163,800), and 2.0T N Line Pro (RMB 173,800). The new Sonata continues Hyundai’s “Spaceship” design language, featuring split headlights at the front and a subtle rear spoiler paired with full-width LED taillights. The 2.0T N Line models are distinguished by a quad-exit dual exhaust layout. Inside, the cabin is equipped with dual 12.3-inch panoramic curved displays, retains some physical buttons and knobs for ease of use, and adopts a column-mounted gear shifter. All trims come standard with Hyundai SmartSense, Hyundai’s comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assistance systems. Exclusive to the N Line variants are a parametric jewel-pattern front grille, sporty suede-trimmed seats, a racing-inspired rear diffuser spoiler, quad-tip sport exhaust, and red brake calipers. The vehicle measures 4,945 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,445 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,875 mm. Powering the Sonata, the 1.5T engine delivers 170 horsepower and 253 N·m of torque, while the 2.0T engine produces 250 horsepower and 353 N·m of torque. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. The suspension setup consists of a MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear configuration.
