At the 2026 China Automotive Chongqing Forum, Zhao Fei, General Manager of Changan Automobile, announced that the company’s Blue Whale Super Power hybrid system has entered mass production, and the Tianshu Intelligent System will gradually be integrated into new vehicle models. To date, 66 functions of the Tianshu Intelligent System have already achieved volume production. On March 30 this year, Changan Automobile unveiled its Blue Whale Super Power propulsion system, claiming an urban fuel consumption of 2.98 L/100 km for blue-plate sedans and 3.98 L/100 km for blue-plate SUVs. The system features a hybrid engine with 500-bar ultra-high-pressure direct fuel injection technology, achieving a thermal efficiency close to 45%—43% higher injection pressure than the industry average. It is also equipped with a 3V high-flux permanent magnet topology hybrid electric drive, delivering motor efficiency exceeding 98%, a maximum speed of 20,000 rpm, a battery discharge power of 80 kW, and a peak motor output of 180 kW. At the recent Chongqing Auto Show, Changan Automobile launched its self-developed advanced driver-assistance system, “Tianshu Navigation,” offered in three versions: Pro, Max, and Ultra. The Pro version comes standard across all trims with LiDAR, enabling obstacle detection up to two seconds faster than human vision in low-light conditions. Built on the SDA central ring network architecture, the system reduces response latency by 150 milliseconds. The Max version leverages over 20 million high-quality human-driving data snippets for training, improving commuting efficiency by 20% in frequent driving scenarios. The Ultra version integrates a VLM (Vision-Language Model) large AI model, supporting interactive assisted driving, and plans to introduce an active driver-incapacitation protection feature in the future.
