Porsche Panamera Facelift Spied: Four-Screen Interior Revealed, Plug-In Hybrid Confirmed

Recently leaked spy photos of the facelifted Porsche Panamera undergoing testing at the Nürburgring reveal multiple updates to both its interior and exterior. Inside, the center console has abandoned the iconic physical HVAC control dials in favor of touchscreen operation, bringing the total number of screens in the cabin to four. The air vent layout remains unchanged from the current model and does not adopt the Cayenne’s design featuring vents above the central display, underscoring that the Panamera retains a unique interior architecture. Externally, although the test vehicles were heavily camouflaged, their headlights, front bumper, and radar components have already been refined. Both test cars feature a charging port on the left side of the body, confirming they are plug-in hybrid variants. Differences are also evident in the rear exhaust configurations: the version with square-shaped tailpipes likely corresponds to the high-performance Turbo-series hybrid models, while the quad-round-exit setup suggests a GTS variant—hinting that this trim may now be offered with a hybrid powertrain for the first time. In terms of powertrains, the current Panamera lineup ranges from a 348-horsepower V6 gasoline model to a top-tier plug-in hybrid producing 771 horsepower. Specific details about the updated model’s powertrains have not yet been disclosed, but Porsche is expected to carry over the existing engine portfolio. Pricing-wise, the current base model starts at approximately RMB 766,000, with the top-spec variant exceeding RMB 1.62 million. The facelifted model is anticipated to see the entry-level price rise to around RMB 814,000.
