GAC Honda plans to launch three all-new models in 2027, spanning the fuel-powered, hybrid, and new energy vehicle segments. These include the next-generation Accord, a new model equipped with Honda’s fifth-generation i-MMD hybrid technology, and a self-developed vehicle based on a China-specific new energy platform. Starting in 2027, GAC Honda will fully adopt Honda’s fifth-generation i-MMD hybrid system, which offers improved handling stability and weight reduction, delivering over 10% better fuel efficiency compared to current models. The first vehicle featuring this new hybrid technology is expected to hit the market in Q1 2025. Additionally, GAC Honda reported sales of 9,058 units in May 2026, down 32.45% year-over-year; cumulative sales from January to May 2026 totaled 54,219 units, a 56.50% decline compared to the same period last year.
