On June 13, 2026, the 28th Chongqing International Auto Show opened in Chongqing. Changan Automobile showcased its brands—including Avatr, Deepal, and Changan Qiyuan—at the “Changan Automobile N8 Pavilion” and officially unveiled its self-developed advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), “Tianshu Navigation.” The system is offered in three versions: Pro, Max, and Ultra. The Pro version comes standard with LiDAR; according to the company, it can detect obstacles two seconds faster than the human eye in low-light conditions such as at night or in tunnels. Leveraging the SDA central ring network architecture, the system’s response time is improved by 150 milliseconds. The Max version is trained on over 20 million real-world driving data points, enabling it to anticipate complex commuting scenarios. The Ultra version integrates a Vision-Language Model (VLM) to support interactive ADAS features. Changan also revealed plans to introduce an active driver-incapacitation safeguard feature in the future. Changan emphasized that ADAS is not equivalent to autonomous driving, and drivers must remain attentive and ready to take control of the vehicle at all times. The Changan Qiyuan Q06, equipped with the Tianshu Navigation system, will launch in the second half of 2026, with the system standard across all trims. Zhu Huarong, Chairman of Changan Automobile, stated that the company will work alongside partners and users to advance intelligent ADAS toward being better, more practical, and more accessible. This launch is regarded as a key milestone in Changan’s “1445” global strategy for intelligent transformation. According to Changan, its intelligent technology R&D began in 2009. The company has since established China’s only State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Vehicle Safety Technology—the Tianshu Intelligent Test Center—which supports global collaboration and round-the-clock (7×24) testing, with over 400,000 virtual simulation scenarios. Over the past five years, more than 2,000 engineers in Chongqing have completed over five million kilometers of real-world road testing, covering 185 scenario types. Changan affirmed its commitment to deepening global partnerships to deliver “ultimate-safe intelligent mobility solutions.”
