SAIC Motor's MG brand has added its all-new model, the MG 07, to the "31st Batch Catalogue of New Energy Vehicles Eligible for Purchase Tax Exemption." The MG 07 will be available in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid variants, developed on an entirely new platform, with market launch expected within this year and a price range of RMB 150,000 to 200,000. The all-electric version features a 67 kWh battery pack, offering two CLTC-range options of 650 km and 610 km. Its drive motor, manufactured by Shanghai Automobile Gear Works Co., Ltd., carries the model number TZ185XY1181 and delivers a maximum output of 176 kW. The plug-in hybrid variant is equipped with a 30 kWh battery pack, providing a WLTC all-electric range of 185 km. Its powertrain combines a 1.5L engine (model 15FHC, max power 82 kW) produced by SAIC Motor Corporation Limited with an electric motor delivering peak power of 152 kW. In terms of design, the MG 07 adopts a fastback silhouette, featuring C-shaped headlights and a full-width air intake at the front. The side profile incorporates semi-recessed door handles and exclusive alloy wheels, while the rear showcases a sloping roofline, full-width taillights, and a panoramic glass roof. The vehicle debuts in a new "Morello Purple" exterior color. On the intelligent technology front, the MG 07 is equipped with LiDAR and powered by Momenta’s R7 enhanced world model solution along with the X7 self-developed AI chip dedicated to large models, enabling advanced driver-assistance capabilities in both urban and highway driving scenarios.
