On June 15, GAC Trumpchi released official images of the fifth-generation GS4. This five-seat compact SUV features comprehensive upgrades in exterior design, dimensions, and intelligent technology. The new model adopts the brand’s latest family design language, highlighted by a large shield-shaped mesh grille and a flattened logo on the front fascia. Its overall length has increased to 4,680 mm, with a wheelbase extended to 2,770 mm, significantly enhancing rear passenger space. The side profile features flush-mounted door handles and sharp, blade-inspired alloy wheels, while the rear end is equipped with full-width LED taillights and a roof-mounted spoiler. In terms of intelligent features, the vehicle is expected to be equipped with the ADiGO driver-assistance system, 360-degree panoramic camera, transparent underbody view, and support for Level 2 advanced driver-assistance functions. The interior is anticipated to include a larger digital instrument cluster and a bigger central infotainment screen, paired with an electronic gear selector and a new three-spoke steering wheel. Powering the GS4 is the carryover 1.5-liter turbocharged engine (model code 4A15J2), delivering a maximum output of 130 kW (174 hp) and peak torque of 270 N·m. Positioned in the 100,000 RMB-class fuel-powered SUV segment, the new GS4 will compete directly against models such as the Changan CS75 PLUS and Haval H6.
