On June 13, the first phase of Anqing Chaoren Energy Technology Co., Ltd.—a subsidiary of Chaowei Group—officially commenced production of its 6.5 GWh sodium-ion battery project. The initial phase delivers an annual capacity of 2 GWh and is expected to generate annual revenue exceeding RMB 500 million. With a total investment of RMB 3.5 billion, the project aims to advance the large-scale mass production of sodium-ion batteries. Chaowei Group has established a closed-loop industrial ecosystem encompassing resources, manufacturing, and market channels, and has forged close partnerships with upstream and downstream enterprises. The battery products feature high safety and excellent resistance to degradation, making them well-suited for applications such as two-wheel electric vehicles. This production launch marks an accelerated pace in the company’s industrialization efforts in the sodium-ion battery sector.
