On June 16, Li Xiang, founder of Li Auto, commented on the industry trend of frequently holding product launch events, stating that there is currently "launch inflation"—a phenomenon where the number of launches is increasing while the information density per event is declining, despite users' limited patience. He emphasized that companies should only hold launch events when they need to communicate important information. Li revealed that Li Auto plans to hold just three launch events in 2024: - On May 15, the company unveiled the Li L9 Livis, its six-seat flagship model; - On June 15, it hosted Livis Day to showcase its embodied intelligence technology; - And on June 23, it will launch the all-new five-seat flagship Li L8. He also announced that test drives for the new Li L8 will begin on June 19, coinciding with the Dragon Boat Festival. Li Auto stressed that it prioritizes the quality and effectiveness of information conveyed at its launches over the frequency of such events.
