The all-new Audi A6 Allroad made its official debut on June 16. As the rugged, off-road-styled wagon variant of the A6 Avant, the new model features a 34 mm increase in ground clearance and a 111 mm wider body compared to the standard A6 Avant—making it the first Allroad model ever to be wider than its base counterpart. It adopts the widened body design previously reserved for the RS6 to accommodate wheels up to 21 inches in diameter, with both front and rear tracks widened accordingly. Standard equipment includes Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system, an adaptive air suspension specifically tuned for Allroad driving scenarios, and a rear-wheel steering system: at low speeds, the rear wheels turn up to 5 degrees in the opposite direction of the front wheels to reduce turning radius, while at high speeds they turn in the same direction as the front wheels to enhance stability. Powertrain options include two variants: - The plug-in hybrid version pairs a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 362 hp and 500 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and has a top speed limited to 250 km/h. Equipped with a 20.7 kWh battery pack, it offers a WLTP-rated all-electric range of 95 km and supports 11 kW AC charging, requiring approximately 2.5 hours for a full charge. - The diesel variant features a 3.0-liter V6 TDI engine with a mild-hybrid system, producing 295 hp and 580 Nm of torque, and achieves 0–100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. The new A6 Allroad is scheduled to launch in Europe in autumn 2024, with German market pricing starting at €77,250 for the diesel version and €80,250 for the plug-in hybrid.
