Mobileye Global (MBLY.US) saw its shares surge as much as 7.7% in early trading on June 16, reaching a high of $10.265. The company announced it will launch its own branded autonomous ride-hailing service in the U.S. next year, a move that will put it in direct competition with some of its existing customers. Under the plan, Mobileye intends to deploy approximately 100 autonomous taxis in a major U.S. city by 2027 and expand its fleet to around 17,000 vehicles within five years.
