On June 16, the Wey Gaoshan 7 SUV officially launched with a unified retail price of RMB 285,800. Building upon the spacious and comfortable cabin inherited from the Gaoshan MPV series, the new SUV raises ground clearance to 185 mm (an increase of 30 mm) and is equipped with the Hi4 Performance intelligent all-wheel-drive system to enhance off-road capability on unpaved and challenging terrain. The vehicle features an exclusive shooting-brake-inspired body kit, giving it a more athletic appearance. Its chassis has been specially tuned and fitted with rebound springs to optimize body posture, achieving a minimum turning radius of 5.5 meters—balancing off-road performance with urban maneuverability. Powering the SUV is a four-speed Hi4 hybrid powertrain delivering a combined system output of 337 kW and a CLTC-rated combined range of 1,135 km. With a wheelbase of 3,085 mm, the Gaoshan 7 SUV offers a 1,845-mm ultra-long common rail sliding track and a flat floor, enabling flexible three-row seating configurations. Cargo capacity ranges from 233 L to 1,725 L. Interior highlights include second-row “first-class” seats, a multi-screen intelligent cockpit, a 12.5-liter heated and cooled refrigerator, and comprehensive active and passive safety systems. Previously, Wey has launched the Gaoshan 7, Gaoshan 8, and Gaoshan 9 models, catering to both family and business mobility needs. From January to May 2026, the Gaoshan series ranked first in cumulative sales among new energy MPVs in China. The introduction of the Gaoshan 7 SUV aims to resolve the traditional dilemma between low-clearance MPVs prone to underbody scraping and SUVs with cramped rear seating, broadening MPV usage scenarios and accelerating the segment’s evolution from purely business-oriented vehicles toward versatile family cars suited for both urban commuting and outdoor adventures.
