BYD has introduced an official safety-net policy covering two scenarios—urban navigation and intelligent parking—under which the automaker directly assumes associated risks. As intelligent driving technology advances rapidly, the industry widely faces unclear delineation of responsibilities and a tendency to shift risks onto users. Some brands have attempted to alleviate user concerns by offering paid intelligent driving insurance; however, such policies typically require users to pay out of pocket and come with limitations like payout caps and premium increases for vehicle owners after claims.
