At the 2026 Hong Kong Motor Show, FAW Group announced that its Hongqi brand will launch six right-hand-drive models over the next three years, along with dedicated products tailored for overseas markets. Among them is a newly unveiled model named "Global SUV," a rebadged vehicle based on Leapmotor's B10 platform, offered in both battery-electric and range-extended variants. Production of the Global SUV is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026 at Leapmotor’s manufacturing facility in Hangzhou, with planned exports targeting Europe, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East. This move follows the confirmed partnership between FAW and Leapmotor in April 2025, under which Leapmotor supplies EV platforms to Hongqi for jointly developing models exclusively for international markets.
