Xiaomi Auto's "Xuntian" series SUV prototype has recently been spotted again, with test vehicles showcasing a deployed rooftop tent. The tent features a sloped design—higher at the front and lower at the rear—and is surrounded by mesh "mosquito netting" for ventilation. According to reports, the "Xuntian" series is Xiaomi’s independent sub-brand for range-extended electric SUVs, which will carry the exclusive "SKYNOMAD" badge instead of the standard Xiaomi logo. The "Xuntian" lineup is slated to offer both five-seat and seven-seat variants, both featuring boxy, stable body lines and semi-recessed door handles. The seven-seater version will be equipped with a roof-lifting mechanism that, when raised, transforms the vehicle into a camper-like space. Codenamed "Kunlun," the series includes three models: "Kunlun 10" (compact five-seater), "Kunlun 20" (large five-seater), and "Kunlun 30" (large seven-seater), positioning them as direct competitors to Li Auto’s L7, L8, and L9 models. Since 2023, Xiaomi Technology Co., Ltd. has filed multiple trademark applications for "Xuntian" and "SKYNOMAD" under the "vehicles" category, with some registrations expected to be finalized after August 2025.
