Dongfeng Nissan officially launched its mid-to-large SUV, the NX8, on April 8, 2024, offering seven variants with an official price range of RMB 159,900 to RMB 209,900. As Dongfeng Nissan’s first extended-range electric SUV, the NX8 achieved its 10,000th delivery by June 21. Built on an 800V silicon carbide platform, the NX8 is equipped with CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries and supports 5C ultra-fast charging technology. It measures 4,870 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,917 mm. The A-pillar uses 2,000 MPa ultra-high-strength steel, and high-strength steel accounts for over 70% of the vehicle’s body structure. The NX8 features the CloudShield Battery 2.0 system, engineered for a service life exceeding 600,000 kilometers. In terms of powertrain, the extended-range version combines a 1.5T turbocharged engine (maximum output: 109 kW) with an electric motor (maximum output: 195 kW). The pure-electric variant offers two single-motor configurations with outputs of 215 kW and 250 kW, respectively. On the intelligent technology front, the NX8 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip and features an AI voice assistant named Nico. It also integrates Momenta’s intelligent driving solution, equipped with 29 high-perception sensors and 22 active safety features, supporting urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), highway NOA, and automated parking assistance.
