On June 20, Huawei released a video showcasing the Qiankun Smart Driving system's active collision-avoidance capabilities and disclosed related statistics: as of May 31, users of Qiankun Smart Driving had accumulated a real-world driving distance of 11.47 billion kilometers. According to the latest information on Huawei’s official website, the system’s cumulative assisted-driving mileage has now surpassed 12 billion kilometers and is approaching 12.1 billion kilometers. Meanwhile, vehicles equipped with Qiankun Smart Driving have collectively traveled a total of 35.4 billion kilometers. During the May launch event for the new Harmony Intelligent Mobility AITO M9 series this year, a Huawei executive stated that Qiankun Smart Driving employs a multi-sensor fusion perception approach, aiming to surpass human visual capabilities. It should be noted, however, that current intelligent driver-assistance features are not autonomous driving. Drivers must remain attentive at all times while using these functions, understand the system’s operational limits, and be prepared to take control of the vehicle immediately when necessary.
