Tesla Unlocks Hidden Feature: View All Nine Camera Feeds in Real Time While Driving

Tesla vehicles are equipped with nine cameras to support the visual perception capabilities of the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system. Normally, drivers can only view footage from certain cameras—such as the rearview or side mirror views—on the central touchscreen while driving. Following a recent software update, a previously hidden diagnostic feature, originally limited to use only when the vehicle was parked, has been modified: if users enable the multi-camera split-screen view in advance via the “Controls > Service” menu while in Park (P), the 3x3 grid display remains active even after shifting into Drive (D) and beginning to drive. This interface simultaneously shows live feeds from all nine vehicle-mounted cameras, including the forward-facing main camera, A-pillar side cameras, side mirror cameras, rear camera, and interior cabin view. Users can tap any feed to expand it to full screen and then tap the grid icon to return to split-screen mode. However, if this view is closed while driving, it can only be reactivated after the vehicle comes to a complete stop and is shifted back into Park (P). Tesla has not officially promoted this feature, which is primarily intended to help users visually assess whether any camera is affected by environmental factors such as dirt, smudges, or glare. Combined with the new camera obstruction alerts and cleaning guidance introduced in FSD version 14.3, this functionality enhances hardware maintenance efficiency.
