Nissan launched the second-generation KICKS compact SUV in the Japanese market on June 17. The new model is equipped with Nissan’s third-generation e-POWER hybrid system, featuring an integrated five-in-one e-POWER motor unit paired with a 1.4L HR14DDe engine, and is available in both front-wheel drive (2WD) and all-wheel drive (4WD) configurations. All variants come standard with the ProPILOT driver-assistance system and add new features including Intelligent Around View Monitor, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. The infotainment system runs NissanConnect with Google built-in. Exterior design draws inspiration from American football helmets, highlighted by a bold horizontal grille and signature lighting elements. At the rear, black rectangular trim accents complement the full-width taillights. Inside, the cabin emphasizes modernity and comfort, using soft-touch materials throughout. It offers class-leading knee room, headroom, and rear seat width. In Japan, the KICKS starts at ¥2,999,700 (including tax), with the top-grade variant priced at ¥4,248,200.
