The Dongfeng Yipai M8 will open for pre-orders in June, with display vehicles arriving at dealerships soon. The model made its global debut on May 23 and is available in five exterior colors: Smoky Violet, Distant Indigo, Moonlight Silver, Frost White, and Xuanxiu Black. It features semi-recessed door handles and measures 5,020 mm in length, 1,975 mm in width, and 1,733 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,025 mm. The new vehicle is equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun Full-Stack Technology suite, including Qiankun ADS 5 Pro intelligent driving system, HarmonySpace 5.2 smart cockpit powered by HarmonyOS, Qiankun Cloud Services, Qiankun Vehicle Control, WhaleFin connectivity, and the HUAWEI SOUND 21-speaker audio system. Powertrain options include both all-electric and range-extended variants. The all-electric version is built on an 800V high-voltage platform, delivering 230 kW of motor power and a CLTC-rated range of 600 km. The range-extended version adopts a 4C fast-charging architecture, featuring a range extender with a maximum output of 95 kW and a drive motor with peak power of 215 kW, offering a CLTC pure-electric range of 300 km.
