Youka Tech Secures BAIC Overseas In-Vehicle Data Project, Covering 20 Countries Across Four Regions

Ucar Technology has recently been awarded a定点 (定点 means "designated supplier" or "awarded the project") for BAIC Group's overseas in-vehicle data connectivity project and will provide global connectivity services for all of BAIC’s self-owned passenger vehicles. The service covers 20 countries and regions across four major areas: the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Africa, Central Asia & the Middle East, and Oceania. Leveraging its extensive network of partnerships with global mobile operators and localized operational capabilities, Ucar Technology offers an end-to-end solution that includes customized data plans, local SIM activation, data usage monitoring, and compliance management. This marks the first collaboration between the two parties. As the service provider covering the largest number of continents in this project, Ucar Technology employs its proprietary Global ONE SIM solution, which integrates global carrier resources using GSMA eSIM technology. This enables vehicles to automatically connect to local networks via a single SIM card, significantly reducing automakers’ costs for managing global connectivity. Additionally, the company has established a 24/7 global telematics operations system capable of rapidly responding to connectivity issues to ensure stable network performance. It also provides comprehensive in-cabin data ecosystem operations to support automakers in expanding the value of their connected vehicle ecosystems. Currently, BAIC is accelerating its overseas market expansion, with growing export volumes of models such as Arcfox and Beijing Off-Road. Faced with complex overseas network environments and stringent local compliance requirements, Ucar Technology’s standardized operational capabilities and robust global network infrastructure have become critical enablers for BAIC’s international connectivity strategy.
