Leapmotor has announced that its first flagship MPV, the Leapmotor D99, will officially launch on June 25. The vehicle is available in five exterior colors: Photon White, Liquid Silver, Horizon Blue, Sky Curtain Gray, and Metallic Black. It features a bullet-shaped design, split million-pixel DLP projection headlights at the front, flush door handles, and connected rear taillights integrated with the rear window, equipped with ISD intelligent interactive light curtain functionality. Inside, the Leapmotor D99 features premium full-grain semi-aniline top-layer leather seats. The second row includes dual 124° zero-gravity rotating aviation seats with 3D wrap-around heating, heated leg rests and armrests, dual side tables, ventilated seating, and 10-point massage functions. The third row offers flexible seating with dual heating for both seat cushions and backrests, electric flip-down storage wells, 90° power-folding capability, and independent 180° recline to form a flat bed. The front row comes with a 50W air-cooled wireless fast charger, a Nappa leather-wrapped four-way power-adjustable steering wheel, and 10-point SPA-grade massage functionality. The cabin also features a 34.3-inch floating table, 43 storage compartments throughout the vehicle, and a trunk capacity of 706 liters, expandable to 2,890 liters. Additional features include a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system, an automotive-grade Senye Oxygen Cabin, an electrically operated temperature-controlled refrigerator, welcome footwell lighting, extra-long 606mm grab handles, and power-operated door open/close buttons. According to data from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Leapmotor D99 measures 5,280 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width, and either 1,900 mm or 1,880 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. It will be offered in both extended-range and all-electric variants. The extended-range version utilizes an 800V high-voltage extended-range platform, debuting the industry’s first dual-energy motor AWD extended-range system paired with an 80.3 kWh battery pack and featuring CTC (Cell-to-Chassis) battery-integrated chassis technology. The all-electric variant employs a full-stack 1,000V tri-motor system and is equipped with CATL’s 115 kWh super hybrid battery cells.
