On June 23, the Ministry of Commerce and eight other government departments jointly issued a notice titled "Measures to Cultivate and Expand Automotive Aftermarket Consumption," explicitly stating support for the integrated upgrading of the car rental industry. The notice calls for nurturing and strengthening market operators and promoting deeper integration between rental companies and the automotive industry. It aims to enhance overall efficiency by connecting the car rental supply chain through bulk procurement, vehicle buybacks, used car dealership operations, and used car exports. Additionally, the notice supports eligible car rental and battery operation entities in accessing policy benefits such as loan interest subsidies to alleviate financial pressure, foster healthy development of the car rental sector, and further stimulate vitality in automotive aftermarket consumption.
