The Hongqi G9 is positioned as the first tech-luxury, rugged SUV under Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility ecosystem. It features a boxy body design, complemented by L-shaped “Sky Mirror” elements on the sides, illuminated logos, and Star-Grip door handles. Personalized options include new wheel designs and a rear-mounted storage box. The G9 will be equipped with Huawei’s next-generation fully active suspension system—previously introduced on the Aito M9—which enables normal driving even when one wheel is lifted off the ground, making it suitable for extreme off-road scenarios. Standard features include an 800V high-voltage architecture across all trims and an all-wheel-drive system. The vehicle debuts Huawei’s self-developed electric motor, offering strong off-road recovery capability, and will be the first to adopt Huawei’s latest communication technologies derived from its extensive expertise in the telecommunications field. The Hongqi G9 is scheduled for launch in the third quarter, joining the Aito M9 in targeting the premium SUV segment priced around RMB 500,000.
