On June 23, BYD’s Fangchengbao brand announced adjustments to the fast-charging benefits policy for its T3 and T7 EV Flash Charge Edition models. Under the revised policy, customers who complete vehicle pickup within the timeframe notified by the dealership after their vehicle arrives at the store will be eligible for complimentary fast-charging benefits. This adjustment aims to prevent customers from missing out on these benefits due to excessively long waiting periods. Previously, the benefit required customers to place a successful order within a specified period and complete vehicle purchase and invoicing by June 30, 2026 (inclusive). Following the update, the key eligibility milestone has shifted from “invoicing by June 30, 2026” to “pickup within the timeframe notified by the dealership.” Additionally, at BYD’s intelligent strategy launch event last month, Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Group, stated that if a flash-charge vehicle order remains undelivered more than 30 days after locking in the order, the customer will receive one additional day of free fast-charging benefits for each day of delay. In March this year, BYD unveiled its second-generation Blade Battery and flash-charging technology, launching the “Flash Charge China” initiative with plans to build 20,000 flash-charging stations nationwide by the end of 2024. On the same day, BYD also announced a series of new intelligent technologies aimed at achieving full-chain controllability in advanced driver-assistance systems.
