On June 23, Li Auto launched the L9 Ultra Machi Embodied Intelligence Package, available for a limited-time optional price of RMB 20,000 (originally RMB 30,000). This package is applicable to new vehicle buyers, customers who have placed orders but not yet taken delivery, and those who have already taken delivery of their vehicles. The package includes five hardware upgrades: dual self-developed Machi M100 chips, two side-facing solid-state varifocal LiDAR units, one rear-facing solid-state varifocal LiDAR unit, intelligent tri-color Star Ring headlights, and intelligent power-operated doors. The dual Machi M100 chips are Li Auto’s in-house developed autonomous driving chips. Their dual-chip configuration significantly enhances computational redundancy, reserving hardware capacity for future over-the-air (OTA) upgrades to advanced end-to-end autonomous driving features. The newly added side- and rear-facing solid-state varifocal LiDAR units expand perception coverage, reducing blind spots in urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) scenarios. Their varifocal capability dynamically adjusts detection precision and range based on different driving environments. New buyers can directly select this package on the official website’s configuration page. Customers who locked in their orders before 24:00 on June 26, 2026, but have not yet received their vehicles may apply for a limited-time configuration change, though this could affect production scheduling and delivery timelines. Owners who have already taken delivery of their vehicles can also purchase the package at the discounted price of RMB 20,000, with Li Auto arranging post-sale installation services.
