General Motors announced an additional investment of 3.5 billion reais (approximately USD 674.88 million) in Brazil, increasing its total investment in the country's automotive sector by 50%. The funds will support hybrid vehicle production and modernization of its manufacturing facilities. Combined with the previously announced 7-billion-reais investment plan in 2024, GM expects its total investment in Brazil to reach 10.5 billion reais by 2028.
