BYD's new brand, Leahead Auto, announced that its flagship business-oriented MPV, the M9, has begun arriving at showrooms nationwide. The company stated the vehicle is "coming soon to market," though it did not disclose an exact launch date. Positioned as a versatile model suitable for both business and family use, the M9 will feature Leahead’s "Eyes of God" advanced driver-assistance system and the Yunniang intelligent chassis control system. It will also integrate BYD’s e-Platform 3.0, fifth-generation DM hybrid technology, an eight-in-one electric drive platform, and a wide-temperature-range high-efficiency heat pump air conditioning system. Leahead previously launched its first model, the e9—a C-segment all-electric sedan—on May 9, 2024. The e9 is offered in three variants, priced between RMB 150,800 and RMB 169,800.
