A prototype of the all-electric high-performance Mercedes-AMG GLA was recently spotted undergoing road testing in Europe. The test vehicle’s front end was heavily camouflaged, but its star-pattern headlights and large lower air intake were discernible, suggesting that its overall design will follow the styling direction set by the electric CLA and GLB models. The side profile features flared wheel arches, lightweight alloy wheels, low-profile tires, a large braking system with red calipers, and a sport-tuned suspension setup. Inside, the cabin is expected to adopt the layout used across vehicles built on the MMA platform, enhanced with performance-oriented elements such as a flat-bottom steering wheel trimmed in leather and Alcantara, along with two small integrated control buttons with displays mounted on the lower rim of the steering wheel. Although the center console screens were partially obscured, the vehicle is anticipated to feature a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch central touchscreen, and an optional 14-inch passenger display for the front seat.
