BYD Launches Tang-Compatible Smart Button for ¥259

On June 25, BYD officially launched the "BYD Lingdong Button" on its official online store, priced at RMB 259 for its initial release. The product initially supports the BYD Tang model and will later be expanded to additional vehicle models. Featuring magnetic or 3M adhesive mounting options, the Lingdong Button can be securely attached anywhere inside the vehicle. It boasts a skin-friendly glass top cover and an aluminum alloy knob with textured grooves, offering both fingerprint resistance and a premium mechanical feel. Users can customize over 40 cabin shortcut functions through three intuitive operations—single-click, double-click, and rotation—including adjustments for air conditioning temperature and fan speed, seat ventilation/heating, music playback/pause, and volume control. According to BYD, the device delivers control latency of no more than 30 milliseconds, enabling safe blind operation while driving and minimizing visual distraction. The button also supports NFC “tap-to-share” functionality, making it easy for multiple users or devices to share music seamlessly. Powered by a replaceable CR2450 coin cell battery and leveraging low-energy Bluetooth technology, it offers up to one year of battery life. Equipped with an N52-grade neodymium magnet, the device firmly adheres to seven magnetic mounting points across four designated areas inside the vehicle. Additionally, removable 3M adhesive pads are included for personalized installation. The Lingdong Button further supports multi-button concurrent control, allowing several buttons to connect simultaneously and enabling different passengers to configure their own independent shortcut functions.
