On June 25, Leapmotor officially launched its first MPV model, the D99, offering both extended-range and all-electric powertrain options, with a starting price of RMB 248,900. During the launch event, the company announced that its global cumulative deliveries have reached 1.5 million units, with the latest 500,000 units delivered in just eight months—marking the period from 1 million to 1.5 million units. Leapmotor plans to unveil a new product next year that breaks away from existing conventional designs and formats and is currently advancing preparations for the launch of a second brand. The company stated that despite rising raw material costs, it has no immediate plans to adjust prices and will instead mitigate the impact on customers through supply chain optimization and gross margin adjustments. Positioned as the “Alphard of the electric era,” the D99 targets the Toyota Alphard in terms of comfort while enhancing and upgrading its tech features. The model was brought to market ahead of schedule due to thorough preparation.
