NIO ES9 Surpasses 10,000 Deliveries, Setting Record as Fastest-Selling Premium EV SUV Above RMB 500,000

The NIO ES9 launched on May 27, 2026, with a full-vehicle price range of RMB 498,000 to RMB 628,000. Under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, prices range from RMB 390,000 to RMB 520,000. Measuring 5,365 mm in length, 2,029 mm in width, and 1,870 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm, the ES9 is China’s largest all-electric SUV. Deliveries commenced on May 28 and reached the 10,000-unit milestone within just 30 days, setting a new record as the fastest-selling premium electric vehicle priced above RMB 500,000 to surpass 10,000 deliveries in China’s passenger car market. Inside, the ES9 features six-layer dynamic ambient lighting and three Tandem dual-stack AMOLED displays: a 15.6-inch center touchscreen with 3K resolution and two 16-inch executive rear screens with 3.3K resolution, all supporting 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. The vehicle is powered by the world’s first automotive-grade 5nm intelligent driving chip, the “Shenji NX9031,” and built on a full-domain 900V high-voltage architecture, delivering a peak power output of 520 kW and peak torque of 700 N·m. It comes equipped with NIO’s self-developed six-piston brake calipers, achieving a 100–0 km/h braking distance of just 35.3 meters. A standard 102 kWh battery provides a CLTC-rated range of 620 km. For chassis technology, the ES9 features China’s only mass-produced steer-by-wire system, NIO’s Tianxing Intelligent Chassis with fully active suspension, and standard rear-wheel steering, enabling a turning radius of just 5.4 meters.
