The all-new Li Auto L8 was unveiled on June 23 and began its first batch of deliveries just three days later in Changzhou, Suzhou, Hangzhou, and Shanghai, with further rollouts to additional cities to follow. The vehicle is available in two trims—Ultra and Livis—with nationwide uniform retail prices of RMB 369,800 and RMB 429,800 respectively. Limited-time launch prices are set at RMB 359,800 and RMB 419,800. Customers who place orders before 24:00 on July 6 will receive launch-exclusive benefits valued at RMB 56,000. Test drives are now available at 530 stores nationwide. As a purpose-built five-seater SUV, the all-new Li Auto L8 features four zero-gravity seats for the first time in a five-seat model. The second row includes a connected dual zero-gravity seat configuration, with backrests adjustable up to 55°, enabling four passengers to simultaneously enjoy zero-gravity reclining positions. The trunk adopts a dual-level storage design with recessed compartments, preserving ample cargo space even when fully occupied by five passengers. Inside the cabin, occupants are treated to the Flawless Star Ring Theater audio system, a 29-inch panoramic display in the front, and a movable rear-screen entertainment system. Under the hood, the Livis trim is equipped with an 800V active suspension, while the Ultra trim features Li Auto’s third-generation dual-chamber, dual-valve “Magic Carpet” air suspension. Both trims come standard with steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering. For intelligent driving capabilities, the Livis version integrates two self-developed Mach M100 chips (totaling 2,560 TOPS) and four omnidirectional variable-focus LiDAR units, whereas the Ultra version uses a single M100 chip (1,280 TOPS). Powering the L8 is Li Auto’s self-developed third-generation range extender, paired with dual front-and-rear motors delivering a combined output of 420 kW. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and achieves a fuel consumption of 6.2 L/100 km under low-battery conditions. All variants feature a 72.7 kWh battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated pure-electric range of 430 km and a total combined range of up to 1,670 km. With its shift from the previous six-seat layout to a native five-seat design, the all-new Li Auto L8 targets the premium five-seat SUV segment priced between RMB 350,000 and RMB 420,000. Its key competitors include new-energy rivals like the Aito M7 and Voyah Free, as well as traditional luxury five-seat SUVs such as the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE.
