The all-new M-Hero M817 officially launched on June 27, with five variants available: Mate 1.5T PHEV (RMB 299,900), Mate+ 1.5T PHEV (RMB 329,900), Max 2.0T PHEV (RMB 349,900), Max+ 2.0T PHEV (RMB 369,900), and Ultra 2.0T PHEV (RMB 399,900). The vehicle is offered in six exterior colors, with “Wulan Orange” as the signature option—inspired by the Wulanhada volcanic group in Inner Mongolia. Powering the M817 is a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system delivering a combined output of 715 kW and wheel-end torque of 13,685 N·m. The manufacturer claims the vehicle maintains electric power even at high speeds of up to 161 km/h. Equipped with a 62.5 kWh battery pack, the M817 achieves a maximum CLTC all-electric range of 301 km and a combined range of up to 1,450 km, with a minimum fuel consumption of 6.99 L/100 km under low-battery conditions. It also debuts CATL’s Xiaoyao Off-Road Flagship battery pack. In terms of intelligent features, the M817 offers an optional 896-line dual-path imaging-grade LiDAR and comes equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5.0 advanced driver assistance system and HarmonyOS Cockpit 6.0. Additional comfort amenities include a zero-gravity “Queen’s Seat” for the front passenger and a smart temperature-controlled refrigerator. Underpinning the M817 is the upgraded Panshi Chassis 2.0, featuring segment-exclusive dual-chamber air suspension and CDC continuous damping control shock absorbers. The automaker states it rivals the million-yuan-range Land Rover Defender. The model also boasts 43 technical upgrades and achieves nine segment-leading benchmarks.
