GAC Group to Hit 30 Million Vehicle Production and Sales Milestone in Its 29th Year

GAC Group was established in 1997 and, as of June 28, 2024, has reached its 29th anniversary. The company officially announced it will hold a "30 Million Users Appreciation Event" on July 16 to celebrate its upcoming milestone of surpassing 30 million cumulative vehicle production and sales. From an initial annual output of fewer than 10,000 vehicles at its founding, GAC Group has grown into a manufacturer with annual production and sales exceeding 2 million units. It has ranked among the Fortune Global 500 for thirteen consecutive years, with cumulative industrial output value nearing RMB 5 trillion. From January to May 2024, GAC Group reported cumulative sales of 628,200 vehicles, an increase of 3.80% year-over-year; sales in May alone reached 127,300 units, up 8.18% year-over-year. During the same period, its new energy vehicle (NEV) sales totaled 46,056 units, surging 71.64% year-over-year. Originally headquartered in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, GAC Group relocated its entire headquarters to Panyu Auto City in November 2024. The group operates across seven major business segments, including vehicle R&D and manufacturing, parts and components, trade and services, and financial investment. It owns more than 20 subsidiaries and R&D centers, including its own brands GAC Trumpchi and AION, as well as joint ventures with Honda, Toyota, and others. Its product portfolio spans both conventional fuel-powered vehicles and new energy vehicles.
