Dongfeng Yipai M8 Surpasses 10,000 Orders in 48 Hours of Pre-Sales, Starting at RMB 199,800

On June 28, Dongfeng Yipai officially launched the pre-sale of its new M8 model, with a starting price of RMB 199,800. By June 29, pre-sale orders had already surpassed 10,000 units. The entire M8 lineup comes standard with Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving Suite—a comprehensive set of six advanced technologies—including the Qiankun ADS 5 Pro intelligent driving system and HarmonySpace 5.2 smart cockpit. The vehicle is equipped with 27 intelligent perception sensors, enabling a seamless 360-degree surround-view experience. Inside the cabin, a 16.1-inch 3K-resolution Huawei Smart Display is powered by the MoLA hybrid large-model Agent architecture. Exterior highlights include a 1.83-meter integrated full-width daytime running light, an ultra-long贯穿式 rear light bar, and three “Feng Qing Tian Di” (Wind Soaring Across Heaven and Earth) series wheel designs. The interior features the Yunman Starry Sky ambient lighting panel, OEKO-TEX-certified baby-friendly and skin-friendly seat upholstery, and four-door ambient lighting with flowing cloud-like illumination effects. The M8 offers both all-electric and extended-range variants. The BEV version is built on an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, featuring a 230 kW electric motor and CATL battery pack, delivering a CLTC range of 600 km. It can charge from 30% to 80% state of charge in just 15.5 minutes. The extended-range variant combines a 1.5T range extender (maximum power: 95 kW) with a 215 kW peak-power electric motor, offering a CLTC all-electric range of 300 km and a combined range of up to 1,281 km. It also supports 4C ultra-fast charging, achieving a 30% to 80% charge in only 14.3 minutes.
