Spy photos of the all-new BMW X5 interior have been revealed, showcasing BMW’s latest design language. The cabin features the Panoramic Vision display, a central touchscreen tilted 17.5 degrees toward the driver, and a dedicated passenger entertainment screen. The Panoramic Vision system combines with a 3D head-up display to project large-format 4K imagery onto the windshield. The steering wheel adopts a cross-spoke four-spoke design, with floating grips at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions. A horizontal trim strip spans the upper section of the center console, enhancing the interior’s layered appearance and refinement compared to the new X3. Exterior-wise, the new X5 sports vertically oriented kidney grilles and headlights featuring dual “X”-shaped daytime running lights. The front bumper adopts a sporty design with integrated air intakes. The model shown in these spy shots is the all-electric iX5, which uses a closed-off grille; the combustion-engine variant is expected to feature functional air vents in the front bumper. The side profile includes multi-spoke two-tone alloy wheels, blue multi-piston brake calipers, sharp wheel arch lines, flush-fitting door handles with a toggle mechanism, and a roof-mounted luggage rack paired with a panoramic sunroof. At the rear, a subtle spoiler sits above slim taillights with dual trapezoidal light signatures, while the rear bumper incorporates a diffuser-style accent. The all-electric version bears an “iX5 60” badge. The new X5 will be offered with gasoline, diesel, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric powertrains, with a hydrogen fuel-cell variant slated for launch in 2028. Production is scheduled to begin in August 2026, with initial models including: - **X5 40 xDrive** (gasoline): 3.0T inline-six producing 399 hp and 540 Nm, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 5.3 seconds - **X5 40d xDrive** (diesel) - **X5 50e xDrive** (plug-in hybrid): 3.0T engine plus electric motor delivering a combined 197 hp from the motor, 18.7 kWh battery, offering approximately 96.6 km of pure electric range (WLTP) - **M60e xDrive** (plug-in hybrid) - **iX5 60 xDrive** (fully electric): dual-motor setup—front motor (248 hp / 305 Nm), rear motor (330 hp / 500 Nm)—paired with a 141 kWh battery, delivering over 500 km of WLTP range Additional variants will be rolled out progressively starting in 2027.
