Recent spy photos have revealed the Ora 5 Touring Edition undergoing real-world road testing. The front fascia retains the current Ora 5’s design, featuring circular cat-eye headlights and an oval-shaped brand emblem, with overall soft and flowing lines. The primary changes occur behind the C-pillar: the rear section is extended, the roof-mounted luggage rack stretches all the way to the tailgate, and the D-pillar adopts a more vertical angle, creating an elongated station-wagon body profile aimed at enhancing both vertical and longitudinal cargo space in the trunk. The rear bumper is expected to be redesigned and will likely feature a horizontally spanning full-width taillight that complements the widened visual stance of the extended rear end, maintaining the model’s gentle, retro-inspired styling. Under the hood, the Ora 5 Touring Edition is expected to be based on an upgraded version of the existing Guiyuan platform. The current Ora 5 offers three powertrain options: pure electric, Hi2 hybrid (oil-electric), and conventional internal combustion engine variants. The pure electric version features a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor producing a maximum output of 150 kW and peak torque of 260 N·m. It is equipped with SVOLT’s LFP "short-blade" battery packs available in two capacities—45.3 kWh and 58.3 kWh—delivering CLTC-rated ranges of 480 km and 580 km, respectively. The Hi2 hybrid variant pairs a 1.5T Miller-cycle engine (maximum power: 115 kW) with a P1+P3 dual-motor architecture. The gasoline-powered model uses a 1.5T turbocharged engine generating 135 kW of maximum power and 275 N·m of peak torque, mated to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
