BYD Seagull 08 Launches July 2 with EV and PHEV Options, Standard Fast Charging Across All Trims

The BYD Seagull 08 will officially launch on July 2. The vehicle will be available in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid variants, both featuring standard ultra-fast charging capability. The all-electric version is built on an 800V high-voltage platform, while the plug-in hybrid variant is equipped with BYD’s DM-i plug-in hybrid system, powered by an engine delivering a maximum output of 115 kW. Measuring 5,150 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,505 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm, the new model comes equipped with rear-wheel steering and BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery. Exterior color options include Obsidian Black, Sea Mist Purple, Luster Silver, Akashi Coral Red, and Cloud White. Interior trims are offered in four hues: Cloud Beige, Dawn Beige, Sunset Brown, and Nightfall Purple. Key features include dual front zero-gravity seats, ventilated/heated/massaging seats for all occupants, welcome light carpets, power-closing doors on all four sides, double-glazed acoustic glass throughout the cabin, eight magnetic accessory mounting points, and an automotive-grade tissue dispenser.
