On the evening of June 30, Xiong Tianbo, General Manager of BYD Group's Fangchengbao Business Division, revealed that two new models from the Fangchengbao brand—the Titanium 9 and the Fangcheng S series—will officially launch in the second half of 2024 and are currently undergoing refinement and optimization. The Titanium 9 is expected to be a full-size, boxy SUV featuring a six-seat layout and continuing Fangchengbao’s signature design language. It is likely to be powered by the same powertrain as the Bao 8—a 2.0T turbocharged engine paired with dual electric motors—delivering a combined output of 550 kW and 760 N·m of torque. Recent spy photos have already revealed both interior and exterior details of the vehicle. The Fangcheng S series will include three variants: the Fangcheng S sedan, the Fangcheng SL three-box sedan, and the Fangcheng S GT shooting brake, all scheduled for launch in Q3 of this year. The sedan variant measures 5,060 mm (or 5,095 mm) in length, 1,967 mm in width, and 1,483 mm (or 1,458 mm) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm, a curb weight of 2,140 kg, and a top speed of 240 km/h. The shooting brake version measures 5,025 mm (or 5,095 mm) in length, 1,967 mm in width, and 1,483 mm (or 1,458 mm) in height, sharing the same 2,960 mm wheelbase, with a curb weight of 2,170 kg and a top speed of 240 km/h. Both body styles will be offered with either single-motor or dual-motor configurations. The single-motor versions will deliver peak outputs of either 245 kW or 300 kW, while the dual-motor setup combines a 190 kW front motor with a 300 kW rear motor. All variants will be equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.
