The IM LS9 Hyper will officially launch on July 16. The model comes standard across all trims with a full-by-wire four-wheel steering system and is equipped with a triple-motor vector-based all-wheel-drive system. Officially dubbed “the best-driving flagship in the 9 Series,” it highlights three industry-first achievements: the first mass-produced SUV with full-by-wire four-wheel steering, the first full-by-wire steering vehicle to pass the China Automotive Technology & Research Center’s (CATARC) reliability challenge, and the first SAIC mass-produced vehicle featuring a triple-motor vector AWD system. In terms of specifications, the IM LS9 Hyper includes as standard a 520-line ultra-long-range LiDAR and NVIDIA Thor chip, delivering perception capabilities compliant with Level 3 autonomous driving standards. Its powertrain features the Stellar Extended-Range System, combining a 1.5T range extender with three electric motors. Previously, the six-seat IM LS9 SUV was launched in November 2023, offered in two variants—52Ultra and 66Ultra—with launch promotional prices of RMB 322,800 and RMB 352,800, respectively.
