On July 1, Chery Automobile launched the Rhino Battery Safety Assurance Program, covering all models equipped with Rhino batteries across its four brands: Chery, Exeed, Jetour, and iCAR. The program includes three core components: 1. All covered vehicles comply with the latest national battery safety standards. 2. In the event of thermal runaway or vehicle fire caused by battery quality issues, the manufacturer will compensate the owner with a new vehicle of the same model. 3. First non-commercial owners receive lifetime warranty coverage for the entire electric powertrain system—including the traction battery, drive motor, and electronic control unit—with free repair or replacement for any non-user-induced faults. This policy applies to all Rhino battery-equipped models across the entire lineup—regardless of trim level—and spans from entry-level commuter EVs to premium all-electric vehicles.
