Chery Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled the full lineup of eight exterior colors for the first model under its jointly launched FREELANDER brand—the Freelander 8. The color options are divided into two series: "Inspiration" and "Limited Edition," including Radiant Gold, Citrus Twilight Purple, Luminous Silver (Matte), Polar Night Black, Summit White, Vibrant Copper, Fjord Blue, and Luminous Silver (Gloss). The vehicle carries forward the design language of the Concept 97 concept car, featuring a bold and robust silhouette with clean, powerful body lines that blend premium luxury with off-road elements. It measures 5,118 mm (or 5,185 mm) in length, 2,050 mm in width, and 1,898 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,040 mm. The Freelander 8 offers a 2+2+2 six-seat layout and is available with an optional tow hitch, supporting a maximum trailer weight of 2,000 kg. According to official filings, the Freelander 8 will be offered in multiple trim levels, including Pro, Max, and Max+. All variants come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8397 automotive-grade chip. Compared to the previous-generation 8295 platform, CPU and GPU computing power has nearly tripled, while NPU performance has increased twelvefold. The intelligent driving system features Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4.1 as standard across all trims, with support for future upgrades, and includes an 896-line LiDAR sensor. Positioned as a luxury, tech-forward, all-terrain new energy SUV, the Freelander 8 is expected to launch in the second half of 2026.
