The IM LS9 Hyper is officially set to launch on July 16. Positioned as a large, six-seat electric SUV in the RMB 300,000 price segment, it features a unibody construction with dimensions of 5,279 mm (length) × 2,000 mm (width) × 1,806 mm (height) and a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. Exterior design follows the brand’s family styling language, highlighted by a 2.4-meter integrated full-width front light bar, a closed-off front grille, a trapezoidal air intake, and chrome trim accents. The side profile adopts a yacht-inspired silhouette and offers various optional configurations, including multiple wheel designs, power-retractable side steps, and a combination of roof-mounted spotlights and camping lights. Inside, the cabin features a 2+2+2 six-seat layout. It integrates a 27.1-inch panoramic display that combines the digital instrument cluster and central infotainment system, complemented by a dedicated 15.6-inch entertainment screen for the front passenger. The vehicle is powered by the IM AI OS intelligent cockpit system and a high-performance chip, supporting multi-zone natural voice interaction and smartphone connectivity. Under the hood, the LS9 Hyper debuts SAIC Motor’s first mass-produced triple-motor vector all-wheel-drive system, arranged with one motor at the front and two at the rear. The front motor delivers a peak output of 160 kW, while each of the left and right rear motors produces 195 kW, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time in the 3-second range. The chassis features the "Lingxi" digital chassis platform and four-wheel steer-by-wire technology, offering a reduced turning radius and enhanced coordinated control for improved active safety. For energy, the vehicle uses a ternary lithium-ion battery pack compatible with external charging and is equipped with a 1.5T range extender (model 15FNE) rated at a maximum output of 114 kW.
