On July 1, SAIC-GM Buick announced a "Delivery Care Program" for the Buick ZhiJing E7. Customers who place and lock in their orders between now and July 31 are guaranteed vehicle delivery within 30 days from the order-lock date. Should delivery be delayed beyond 30 days due to reasons attributable to the brand, customers will receive a compensation of RMB 100 per day starting from day 31. This policy comes amid global semiconductor supply chain volatility, which has tightened chip availability and may affect delivery timelines for some customers. Additionally, during the promotional period, online orders can enjoy an offer of RMB 1,000 off RMB 4,000 toward the purchase price. Customers who complete their orders and invoicing can also choose—within a limited time—one of two gifts: either a home charging station or the “Golden Stone Promise” benefits package (one option only). The Buick ZhiJing E7 was launched on April 22, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price starting at RMB 159,900 and a launch promotional price starting at RMB 154,900. The vehicle measures 4,850 mm long, 1,910 mm wide, and 1,676 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. It features four floating-layer seats that support multiple configurations, including a double-bed mode and a front-passenger single-bed mode. The front passenger seat is an Eames-inspired zero-gravity recliner, enabling a reclined posture with both abdominal and leg angles set at 120°. All front and rear seats offer three-level heating and ventilation functions. Additional interior amenities include a silver-ion temperature-controlled refrigerator and a multifunctional second-row table. In terms of intelligent driving, the vehicle is equipped with 27 perception sensors—including LiDAR—and powered by Momenta’s R6 large reinforcement learning model, supporting scenarios such as highway driving, urban navigation, and automated parking. The powertrain uses Buick’s “Zhenlong Plug-in Hybrid Pro” system, featuring a 165 kW electric motor and capable of 6 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) external power output. The ZhiJing E7 is offered in mid/low and high trims. The mid/low trim features a 1.5L engine (72 kW) paired with Zhengli New Energy batteries, delivering a CLTC all-electric range of 235 km and a combined range of 1,630 km. The high trim is equipped with a 1.5T engine (115 kW) and CATL-supplied SAIC-GM batteries, offering a CLTC all-electric range of 230 km and a combined range of 1,600 km.
