Buick ZhiJing E7 Launches 30-Day Delivery Promise and Delay Compensation, Driving Rapid Surge in Orders and Deliveries

SAIC-GM Buick recently announced that due to global semiconductor supply chain volatility, deliveries of certain customer vehicles may experience delays. To safeguard customer interests, Buick has launched a "Delivery Care Program" for the Electra E7: vehicles will be delivered within 30 days from the date the customer locks in their order; if delivery is delayed due to reasons attributable to the brand, customers will receive a daily compensation of RMB 100 starting from day 31. During the promotional period, online reservations will enjoy an offer of RMB 1,000 off RMB 4,000 toward the purchase price. Customers who complete invoicing will also receive, for a limited time, either a complimentary home charging station or the "Golden Promise" benefits package. Within just 90 minutes of its market launch, the Electra E7 received 10,797 confirmed orders, and over 5,000 units have been delivered within two weeks. The vehicle is available in three trims, with a starting置换 (trade-in) price of RMB 154,900. All variants come standard with 42 premium features covering comfort, health, safety, and intelligent technologies. In terms of intelligent systems, the Buick Electra E7 collaborates with Volcano Engine to debut the next-generation Doubao large AI model, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8775 chip, enabling complex command interpretation and human-like interaction. The vehicle is equipped with 27 perception sensors, including LiDAR, and integrates Momenta’s R6 reinforcement learning large model, supporting full-scenario driving—including highways, urban roads, and parking. All models feature Buick’s Zhenlong Plug-in Hybrid Pro powertrain, delivering a maximum motor output of 165 kW. It pairs with either a 1.5T “China Heart” award-winning dedicated hybrid engine or a 1.5 Super hybrid engine, achieving a 0–100 km/h acceleration time as fast as 7 seconds. The standard version offers a pure electric range of 235 km and a combined range of 1,630 km, while the Turbo variant delivers 230 km of pure electric range and a combined range of 1,600 km.
