"15th Five-Year Plan" Promotes New Energy Vehicles and Green Products in Rural Areas to Advance Low-Carbon Living

The State Council has issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for Building a Beautiful China," which calls for promoting green and low-carbon lifestyles. The plan explicitly proposes launching campaigns to bring new energy vehicles, green and smart home appliances, and green building materials to rural areas, as well as promoting the use of renewable electricity for charging new energy vehicles and offering residential retail packages for green power. It also aims to improve the certification and labeling system for green products, strengthen incentive mechanisms for green consumption, and expand both the scope and scale of government procurement of green products.
