General Motors delivered over 357,000 vehicles in China during the second quarter. During this period, several new models were launched and achieved strong initial sales performance. The Buick ZhiJing E7, launched in April, is positioned as a midsize SUV and offers both 1.5L and 1.5T plug-in hybrid powertrains, with CLTC all-electric ranges of 230 km or 235 km. Higher trims are equipped with LiDAR and the Momenta R6 advanced driver-assistance system. In its first full month on the market, it quickly became one of Buick’s best-selling models. The Wuling Bingo Pro, introduced in May as a compact battery-electric vehicle (BEV), recorded sales exceeding 31,000 units in Q2, making it one of GM’s most successful new energy vehicles in China. Launched around the same time, the large plug-in hybrid SUV, Huawei Jieqing S, is available in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants and features Huawei’s Qiankun ADS intelligent driving system. It achieved quarterly sales of over 9,100 units. On the Cadillac front, the all-electric Cadillac Lyriq (referred to locally as "Kai Wei De"), launched in April, further strengthened the brand’s presence in the premium EV segment. The Buick GL8 family sold more than 22,000 units in Q2, including over 3,500 units of the Buick Shijia MPV—a model under Buick’s premium new energy sub-brand ZhiJing—which is offered in both plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions. The Buick Envision family and Cadillac XT5 posted Q2 sales of over 18,000 and 10,000 units, respectively. Additionally, the Wuling Hongguang MINIEV sold over 43,000 units in the compact BEV segment during Q2, while total deliveries of the Wuling Bingo series surpassed 51,000 units—both ranking among GM’s top-selling models in China.
